Artificial randomness is deterministic. The random function used in this piece is just a series of dot products and fractions. The same number always gives the same result back.
Building upon that, the structures in Edge of Order are at times orderly, giving the impression that there is some algorithm at work. At other times, it just looks awfully messy.
