A zooid or zoöid is a single animal that is part of a colonial animal. Each zooid within the colony has a specific function and varies somewhat in form.
Individual instances of an algorithm operating the best they can within a complicated shared algorithm.
FEATURES:
Refreshing the browser repopulates a new set of ZOOID's
Left mouse click: Plays a generative sound score.
Double mouse click: Freezes sound to a drone then fades out music within 10 seconds.
Key z or Z: Standard
Key x or X: X-RAY
Key c or C: PSYCH (WARNING-FLASHING)
Key v or V: ADD MEMBRANE
Key b or B: REMOVE MEMBRANE
Key 1-5: Change pixel resolution to be used for image export. 1 is standard and exports image at your screen resolution. (Eg. 1 = 1920px x 1080px / 5 = 9600px x 5600px)
Key s or S: Save PNG image at resolution chosen with number keys.
To add a margin around the work, zoom in and out with the web browser with keys:
